To configure the Conditional Fields app, begin by navigating to the Admin page within your Zendesk instance. From there, you'll have the ability to set up conditional fields across multiple areas:

Ticket page
-
Organization page
-
Help Center
-
User page
Applying Conditional Fields to the Help Center
For the Help Center, conditional logic must be manually added to your Guide theme.

Available Configuration Options
When setting up field behavior, you can choose from the following actions:

Show fields – Display the selected fields.

Hide fields – Hide and clear the fields.

Disable fields – Grey out the fields.
-
Add condition to field – Set rules to determine field visibility or behavior.
You can apply these actions to any of the supported pages (Ticket, Organization, Help Center, and User pages), giving you full flexibility and control.
Setting Conditions
A key advantage of the Conditional Fields app is its granular condition logic. You can define visibility rules for each individual field across all supported forms. This lets you control exactly who sees what and when, based on specified conditions.
To set a condition:

Click the condition icon next to the field.

In the conditions window, select the relevant field.

Choose the logic operator:

"Is one of" – Apply the rule when a selected option matches.

"Is none of" – Apply the rule when the selected option does not match.

4. Define the Action and Default Action:

Action: What happens when the condition is met.
-
Default Action: What happens when the condition is not met.
-
5. Click Save to apply the condition.
Bulk Editing Fields
You can also manage multiple fields at once:

Click on Bulk Action.
-
Select the fields you want to modify.
-
Choose whether to Show, Hide, Disable, or Add a condition.
This is especially useful for large-scale updates.
Exporting your configuration
After making any changes, don’t forget to export your configuration as a backup.
