We migrate tickets from your existing ticketing system to Zendesk — whether the source system is cloud-based or hosted on-premise.
Data source for the migration
To support you in the best possible way, we first need some information about your source system:
- Which system are you currently using?
- Is the source system API-capable?
- Is API documentation available?
- Is database access possible?
- Are exports available, for example, as XLS, CSV, or similar files?
Data from on-premise ticketing systems can also be migrated if database access is available, for example, to MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
Alternatively, exports such as XLS, CSV, or similar formats can be used as the basis for the migration to Zendesk.
Migration process
The exact process depends on the source system and the available data. Typically, the migration includes the following steps:
- Defining the technical approach based on the source system
- Defining the tickets and fields to be imported into Zendesk
- Importing the requesters or users required to correctly link the tickets
- Performing a test import into a Zendesk sandbox
- Reviewing the imported data
- Migrating to the live environment
